An original play exploring the life of Boudica, the fearless warrior queen who challenged the Roman Empire in AD61 Britannia. When her husband, King of the Iceni, dies, Boudica refuses to bow to Roman oppression and rises to reclaim her homeland and fight for justice. This new production captures her struggle through visceral storytelling — blood, mud and violence — as she confronts the oppressors and seeks to bring peace to Britannia.
Directed by Jess Edwards and performed by students from the BA (Hons) Acting: Musical Theatre programme, the production showcases work from the BA(Hons) Theatre Practice and BA(Hons) Production Technologies & Stage Management students.
