Balance bike sessions designed for toddlers and their parents, held every Saturday morning in a safe, traffic-free environment. These outdoor sessions build confidence and develop early cycling skills, allowing children to progress naturally to pedal bikes without needing stabilisers.
Each 45-minute session combines bike handling, games, nature exploration and socialising. Activities range from chalk drawing and multi-coloured disc play to singing, nature collecting and short walks on wide paths within the recreation ground. The programme is led by professional cycling instructors and coaches working alongside experienced parents.
The setting offers excellent facilities with lovely green spaces, exciting flora and fauna, and access to superb learning locations. Sessions are designed to be inclusive, interactive and friendly — a great way for children to develop useful skills while parents connect with other families.
Bring warm clothes, rain gear, water and snacks. You'll need a balance bike for your toddler (the organisers can help you source one from their kit library) and a properly fitting helmet. Sessions run Saturdays 10:00am - 10:45am in the Model Traffic Area.
