Meet bestselling children's author and illustrator Oliver Jeffers at this in-store book signing event at Waterstones Piccadilly. Oliver will sign copies of his brand-new picture book A Day Off School, illustrated by Kevin Waldron, and the newly released paperback edition of There's a Ghost in This House.
A Day Off School follows Herbie, who stays home with the sniffles and discovers that a day alone isn't quite as wonderful as he imagined. With a day of uninterrupted gaming, painting and reading beckoning, Herbie soon finds himself wondering what fun he might be missing at school—an extra playtime, or perhaps a dog loose in the corridors? There's a Ghost in This House offers a witty, unique take on the ghost story. A young girl living in a haunted house has never spotted a ghost and embarks on an entertaining hunt through her home, from behind the sofa to the attic, discovering friendly ghost surprises and striking mixed media illustrations along the way.
Advance tickets are required to secure your place in the queue to meet Oliver. Parents accompanying children need only one ticket. Additional Oliver Jeffers titles will be available for purchase on the day.
