An afternoon of talks celebrating magazine-making and editorial creativity, bringing together established and emerging voices in print publishing. This year's theme, 'Escaping the Algorithm,' explores how magazines and publishers navigate the tension between print independence and digital presence—and whether print can truly exist outside the online world.
Featured speakers include Claire Belhassine (founder of Godmothers, exploring tech, feminist economics and philosophy), Chris Clarke (editorial creative director at The Guardian), Hugo Lindgren (editorial director of Life Magazine, former New York Times Magazine editor), Lucy Roeber (founder of Erotic Review), Charlotte Rubesa (founder of Quiet Media, a print-first zine), Emily Tobin (editor of The World of Interiors), and James Hewes (media consultant and guest lecturer).
The event takes place in Vitsœ's brutalist double-height space in Marylebone. Doors open at noon, talks run 1pm–5pm, followed by drinks and informal chat. A pop-up shop and partner displays accompany the programme. Livestream tickets are also available, and all ticket holders receive video access after the event.
