Learn the art of traditional letterpress printing in this full-day workshop. You'll create your own poster using historic presses and beautiful wood type, choosing any text up to 12 words — whether a cherished quote, punk poetry, or song lyrics.
Under expert guidance, you'll master hand-setting type, spacing and locking your composition, inking and pulling the press. With small class sizes, tutors tailor the session to your individual abilities and interests, providing hands-on support throughout. The workshop includes a full induction, health and safety guidance, press introduction, and all materials (aprons provided).
Note: Prints dry after the session and cannot be taken home the same day. You may return to collect them, or arrange posting for an additional £10. Wear clothes you don't mind getting inky.
