A sacred day retreat designed for Black women and mixed-heritage Black women of African descent seeking healing and embodied expression. Held in a heated marquee by firelight near London, this gathering brings together somatic movement, meditation and restorative yoga to help participants reconnect with their bodies and reclaim space for authentic self-expression.
Led by Oya Heart Warrior and guest teacher Yvonne Henrietta, the day combines intuitive movement, voice sounding, healing rituals and deep rest in a queer-affirming, alcohol-free environment. This is a judgment-free zone where movement can be untidy, rest can be wriggly, and every expression—whether through sound, stillness or dance—is welcomed. The programme draws on somatic practices and the healing power of nature to support nervous system regulation and collective Black joy.
Location: Lubbock Road, Chislehurst, BR7 5JJ (exact details provided to ticket holders). The venue is approximately 20 minutes by direct train from London Bridge.
