An evening celebrating Somali culture and music, closing this year's Somali Week Festival. Final Beats brings together live performances honouring generations of cultural expression, with the night also marking a Lifetime Achievement Award for Said Salah, the renowned poet, educator, playwright, and filmmaker who founded Iftin Band—one of Somalia's most influential educational and cultural ensembles.
The programme features former members of Iftin Band including Sayid Khalifa, Addey Ali Ahmed, and Maryan Sheikh Nur, alongside live performances by Nimco Yasin, Nimco Dagen, Abdirahman, Nasri, and Canab Marwo. The evening culminates with a headline performance from Isse Abdulaziz Ali (Iskilaaji), an award-winning Somali singer-songwriter and composer known for his romantic, culturally rich music and a devoted international following across digital platforms. The event is hosted by Abdisalan Hereri, a veteran Somali journalist and broadcaster recognised for his cultural and historical reporting.
