F*Choir is a 70-strong, queer-led ensemble that reimagines choral singing as bold, high-energy, full-body music celebrating collective liberation, joy, and embodied resistance. This one-off performance marks their 10-year anniversary with fresh arrangements featuring artists including Kate Nash, Katerina Gimon, and JADE, alongside original compositions and works by Rubie, Jenny Moore, Auclair, Beautiful Chorus, and Beverly Glenn Copeland.
Founded by composer and multidisciplinary artist Jenny Moore, F*Choir challenges traditional music methods through embodied practice and oral traditions, amplifying the work of women, trans, non-binary, and queer artists. The performance explores themes of fire as both destruction and gathering—singing through anger, love, sisterhood, resistance, and solidarity in response to a world in crisis. High-energy percussive arrangements merge with adventurous polyphony, creating a fully immersive experience that audiences have described as visual, somatic, and existential.
Doors open at 7pm on Sunday 25 October at Woolwich Works. Pay-what-you-can sliding scale tickets available; no one turned away due to lack of funds. All ages welcome—under 14s require a concession ticket and must attend with an adult; babes under 18 months do not require a ticket.
