A monthly support group for anyone who wants a quiet hour to unwind, reflect and simply be themselves. Each session uses art exercises and reflective prompts to help people build self-awareness and work through how they feel, and words are optional, since communicating through drawing can be easier than finding the right language when stress or overwhelm gets in the way.
Past sessions have explored themes such as forgiveness, confidence, gratitude, family, fears, trust and achievements. The groups are led by people with lived experience of mental health struggles, and the space is kept confidential (unless someone's safety is at immediate risk). You can follow the prompts or ignore them entirely and just draw what you like.
The group meets on the first Tuesday of every month, starting at 6pm, at Bread and Butter Lounge in Shoreditch. Rain On Me's groups are funded by the National Lottery.
