Seed Talks celebrates five years and over 1,800 lectures by hosting a special birthday event at 21Soho. Founder William McLean introduces five acclaimed speakers delivering short, engaging talks on their current passions—from psychedelics and trauma recovery to neurodiversity and anime.
The lineup includes Dr David Luke, Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Greenwich, discussing transpersonal experiences and altered consciousness through psychedelics; Dr Deba Choudhury, a Chartered Clinical Psychologist specialising in trauma and psychological recovery; Professor James Brown, ADHD researcher and founder of ADHDadultUK, exploring neurodiversity; and Helen McCarthy, a leading anime scholar and author of The Anime Encyclopedia. A fifth speaker is to be announced.
After the five quickfire talks, all speakers participate in a live Q&A session. Tickets operate on a pay-what-you-like basis, with 100% of proceeds donated to SEDS Connective, supporting people with symptomatic hypermobility and neurodivergence, and PsyCare UK, which provides welfare and harm reduction at music festivals and events across the UK.
