Lucia, the bringer of light, takes centre stage in this candlelit Swedish Lucia Carol Service held in the atmospheric surroundings of St Marylebone Parish Church. Singers from the Ulrika Eleonora Church Choir and London Nordic Choir perform traditional Lucia and Christmas carols, offering a warm message of hope during the darkest time of the year.
The Rector of the Swedish Church addresses the congregation during the service. The programme is sung in English with Swedish Christmas carols, and the service lasts around one hour.
