A yearly Advent carol service held by Pact, the charity supporting prisoners' children and families. The gathering is a chance to stand alongside the roughly 120,000 children in England and Wales who will wake up on Christmas morning with a parent in prison, and the families who often feel forgotten at this time of year.
The service is led by The Rt Rev Richard Moth, Archbishop of Westminster and Catholic Liaison Bishop for Prisons, and The Rt Rev Rachel Treweek, Lord Bishop of Gloucester and Anglican Bishop to His Majesty's Prisons in England and Wales. Singing comes from the Sacred Heart High School Choir, and Friends of Pact, including Mel Giedroyc, will be attending. The programme includes prayer, carols and reflection on compassion and new beginnings.
Refreshments are served after the service. Entry is free, with a collection taken in support of Pact's work with prisoners, their children and their families. Donations can also be made when registering.
