Join a guided walk through the life and ideas of Karl Marx, one of the most influential thinkers of the modern era. The tour follows his years in London and traces how his life, a mix of comedy, tragedy, love, hardship and hope, shaped the intellectual project that set out to make sense of history, politics, economics and philosophy.
Along the way you will visit places in and around Soho where Marx lived and worked, and spot traces of the London he knew. The guides also look at how his ideas inspired protests, strikes, revolutions, struggles for freedom and democracy, and also regimes of repression and war.
The walk starts in front of the Criterion Theatre at Piccadilly Circus. The tour has been recognised with the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2019.
