A one-day design competition exclusively for second and third year students on RIBA-accredited Part 1 architecture courses. Teams from across the country gather at Gensler in Central London for an entirely analogue charrette - no computers allowed. You'll work with sketches and drawing skills only, developing and presenting a design solution under time pressure.
Each team receives mentorship from a practicing architect and presents their work to a jury of architects and academics. The winning team and runners-up receive prizes, with the winning proposal featured across AIA UK's social media channels. All participating students gain one-year complimentary AIA UK chapter membership.
Event details: Saturday 7 November 2026, 9am-6pm at Gensler, Thomas More Square, London. Nearest tube: Tower Hill. Travel cost support is available on request by contacting [email protected].
