Explore the intersection of art, economics and philosophy in this live panel discussion, part of artist Bahar Noorizadeh's ongoing research into the systems governing debt, speculation and financial control. The conversation brings together artistic, academic and philosophical voices to examine how gamification operates as a tool of governance, information functions as urban infrastructure, sacrifice underpins finance as a social mechanism, and conspiracy strategies emerge as ways of understanding this terrain.
Convened by The Otolith Collective, the panel features Noorizadeh alongside Adam HajYahia, Lama El Khatib, and Max Haiven. The discussion directly engages with her exhibition The Debtor's Portal and mural commission In Mortua Manu / In A Dead Hand at The Showroom Gallery.
Bahar Noorizadeh is an Iranian-born artist, theorist and filmmaker whose practice spans art history, economic systems and geopolitical infrastructures.
