'Liars & Friends' is a competitive social gathering inspired by the game Mafia—recently adapted as the BBC TV show 'TRAITORS'. It's designed for adults seeking to meet new people through strategy, humour, and playful deception.
Each evening features multiple rounds of the game, beginning every 15 minutes, so you can join whenever suits you. Upon arrival, you're randomly assigned a role: Mafia member, resourceful Civilian with a special ability (Doctor, Detective, or Swindler), or townsperson. As night falls, the Mafia secretly chooses targets while protective and investigative roles take action. Daylight brings group discussion and voting to eliminate suspected Mafia. A special twist: the Swindler chooses their allegiance between rounds 3-5, adding unpredictability. The Mafia wins by outnumbering Civilians; Civilians win by eliminating all Mafia. A dedicated team explains the rules on arrival, so no prior experience is needed.
Between rounds, relax in the bar area with refreshments and a curated selection of beverages—bring your own if preferred. The venue is Uncommon Liverpool Street, a flexible office workspace at 34-37 Liverpool Street, London, EC2M 7PP.
Please note: the event includes photography and videography for promotional use, so by attending you consent to being filmed and photographed.
